History of our Farm
A New Chapter at Old Hall Farm
Old Hall Farm has never been an ordinary farm. For many years, this historic working farm in the village of Bouth has given visitors a glimpse of a slower, more traditional way of life. Farming here has been shaped by methods from another era, with magnificent Shire horses working the land alongside steam power and vintage tractors, historic farm buildings and generations of farming knowledge.
Over the years, thousands of visitors have come through the gates to meet the animals, watch the Shires at work, discover traditional farming skills and enjoy produce from the farm including homemade ice cream made using milk from the farm’s Jersey cows. The farm has always been a place where people could get closer to the countryside rather than simply observe it.
Old Hall Farm Wellness Experiences draws upon the character, traditions and natural surroundings of the farm, but offers a very different way to enjoy them. Nature and animals at a gentle pace with an emphasis on taking time away from everyday life.
It is a new chapter for Old Hall Farm, but one that remains firmly rooted in everything that has always made this place special; its animals, its land, its changing seasons and Charlotte’s love of sharing farm life with others. And some traditions are simply too good to leave behind; so yes, there will still be ice cream.
